Free Palestine (entry 3)
"Can Israelis and Palestinians See Eye to Eye? || Creators for Change | Middle Ground"
As a young Muslim, Arab, South Lebanese woman who lived in Lebanon my whole life, neighbor to Palestine and Israel, I have learned the importance of history and how much it affects our daily lives. During all my years living in the Middle East, everyone talks about how bad Israelis are and that they are the enemy therefore, I decided to finally form my own opinion by doing my own research 6 years ago. I remember when I was around 14, I saw my favorite content creator on youtube, "Jubilee", download a new controversial video where they brought people with opposite points of view to discuss their opinions.

I am not going to hide the fact that, at first, I was scared. Usually, every time I see Palestinians and Israelis in the same sentence, it's either another fight, attack, bombing, murder...
Not this time.
This time was different. For once.
This revolutionary video is basically a get-together between complete strangers, 3 Palestinians, and 3 Israelis, that all sat next to each other to discuss where they stand in this Israel-Palestine conflict and what they think is the solution.
The person that I can relate to the most is Hannah Ziad, 24 years old Palestinian whose dad was murdered by the IDF soldiers. I am blessed to have all my family near me therefore, Hannah was talking about the struggle and the stress of living in an Arab country as a young girl, especially because we are seen as weak or objects. In addition, just like her, I strongly believe that some Muslims commit violence and attacks that are completely against what Islam represents which is peace, love, and unity, and so they really are not Muslims if they can not stand to what the religion represents.
Heartbreaking Image of Hannah and her family when the IDF left her fatherless at such a young age and she still can not feel it become a reality.
Ran, one of the Israeli guests interrupted a Palestinian guy by saying something along the lines of "Palestine is not your land, it belongs to us, the Israelis." Therefore, I see this claim from another perspective. In 1948, when the Jews were victims of the Holocaust in Europe, the Palestinians were living Palestine, peacefully, in the land that belongs to them. Therefore, when the UN came up with the "two-state solution", the Arabs that lived in Palestine obviously disagreed and fought. What I like to compare this to is, if someone comes to my house, uninvited, to try to live in it and take half of it, I would obviously fight back because this house represents my home, my pride, and my life! How can the IDF expect the Arabs to stay completely silent and watch all of their belonging and their people disappear one by one?
Free Palestine does not mean death to jews.
Free Palestine means the Palestinian land should and will be returned to its owners, to the indigenous people who fought, died, and got murdered to protect it: The Palestinians.
